Default Port Authority Police Officer Arrested for Owning 'Assault Rifle'

Didn't see this posted yet. If things keep going badly for us, this is what we have to look forward to:

This gun lover carries a badge.

Port Authority cop Jeffrey Haner was busted on possession of two illegal assault weapons, including the same type of Bushmaster rifle used in the Newtown massacre, authorities said.

Ramsey, NJ, police said they took a total of 10 weapons from Haner after his wife asked for a temporary restraining order.

The SCARIEST part of the story is the fact that if some pissed off wife/girlfriend/EXgirlfriend with PMS wants to be revengeful and malicious, all she has to do is fabricate the need for a restraining order and >>>presto...your guns are gone.

He fitted existing firearms with "flash suppressors".

I'm wondering how a Transit Police officer makes $175,000 a year. Unless this guy is a supervisor that is a very large salary for a police officer. Yes?

Restraining orders and vengeful GFs/Wives/BFs/Husbands will be a rich source of intelligence for gun grabbers in the future. Once they file that restraining order probable cause is established. What is found then is on you.

We can also check to see how Illicit drugs are located by police. Those will be the same methods that are used on possessors of "illegal guns".

Free Advice - if you are having a rough patch with the better half get your military pattern stuff out of the house.

Actually that sounds about right if his base salary is $90,000. There are a lot of stories like this coming out of the NY/NJ area recently (as in since Scott Walker "broke the unions" in Wisconsin), such as a school janitor making almost a quarter million a year in salary and overtime.

But yeah...this is ridiculous. A Bushmaster and a Norinco are not assault rifles...unless you're in far left land like NY, NJ, IL and CA. Otherwise, they are just rifles.

Yeah, you're right. Most "assault rifles" I ever saw had a three or four position selector switch.

When you go "full auto" the police from to the range.

They don't come to confiscate the rifle. They want to shoot a magazine down range. Once they do that they thank you and move on.

The media still says an assault rifle was used at sandy hook. And it was a bushmaster. Thats the bullshit these vermin are telling the sheep that want to take our guns away.

In NY police officers are exempt from any restrictions. Must be it isn't that way in NJ.

Boy am I glad such a hardened criminal is behind bars. He could have threw those "high capacity magazines" and "flash suppressors" at someone, giving them a nasty bruise.

The biggest crime I saw commited there was robbery, paying a bridge cop $130+k a year plus benefits....

He should just change his name to David Gregory and voila! Out scot free!

If any AWB is passed, all gun owners should agree that when arrested, they give the name of David Gregory.
The USA is now a banana republic. Only without the bananas....or the Republic.
