Winchester Model 88, "H" prefix
I have a model 88, .308. It has a Prefix of "H" in the serial number. It is a carbine, with a barrelband. It has no checkering, 19" barrel, plastic buttplate, and a metal capped pistol grip with a fancy design on it.
Can anyone tell me what this "H" denotes? The serial number is almost at 241,000 so I can only guess it is from around 1972.
