Question Why Doesn't PA Recognize OH & DE Permits?

Just wondering why PA doesn't recognize these to states permits?

Has the PSP ever given any explanation for this?

Looks like PA recognizes many other states, but I would think they would at least honor those two neighboring states as well.

    Doesnt make sense to me.

Because they do not recognize ours. PSP has nothing to do with it.

And other states don't recognize our LTCF mainly because no type of training is required to get it.

The Attorneys General of states usually handle reciprocity, not the police

    Oh, ok.
Although I dont agree with it, I can see how that makes sense.

Well, at least we can get a AZ, UT, FL and/or VA permit/license and be covered in some neighboring states

I frequently visit DE and OH and that's the main reason I am going the AZ route as soon as I can find a local course that will meet the AZ training requirement.

    Yes indeed!
And as a matter of fact, I believe it was a post or two of yours that persuaded me to go the AZ route.

    Thanks!

Gee ya think .... you've mentioned AZ as often as I mention the better deal of UT, moneywise the better deal still get most of the same states and the nearby DE & OH.

As hiredgoon (and a few others) like to push AZ, I like to push UT, if you're going to take a course anyway, in the long run UT is cheaper with $15 renewals.

Interest really seems to be picking up with the Utah class. I'm not sure what's going on but I have been getting quite a few emails this week from Pa. folks who want me to come up to Pa to teach a class in their area. Its a great permit to have and as you said, $15 renewals ain't bad at all.
