Default Can I carry a fire arm

Hello All! I am new to this forum and I have a couple
Of questions regarding the LTCF app. When I was about 19 some friends
And I got into a bit of trouble with a paintball gun. We were shooting random
People (not the smartest thing I know ) anyway as a result we were charged with m2 simple assult. Now I'm 23 and I have just purchased my first firearm. And would like to apply for a LTCF. Could anyone shed some light as to weather
Or not I will be approved or denied ? Thanks in advanced.

"A bit of trouble" is vague, what matters is what criminal convictions or arrests are known to the issuing authority in your county. They can also deny you for bad character or reputation, which doesn't require an arrest.

You can look up the application form for the LTCF, take a gander at that and see if any questions would be problematic.

Thank you for the quick reply ! And as far as the bit of trouble part I do agree, really what I am curious about is would I be able to have one under my current circumstances. I believe the charge was an m2 and I served out my probation with no problems.

Ok so I just read the application and I would like to think that there would be no issues with me being able to be approved for my license to carry. Thanks all

I've seen people spend time in jail for doing that. If a teen decided to shoot at me with a paint gun it would probably be the last thing he did on earth...

    Really? That's your contribution?

To the OP, it sounds like you've learned something from your experience. I hope that retarded character clause doesn't cause you any problems.

So, just 4 short years ago, you shot at people with a gun (albeit an air gun), now you want a license to carry a gun? I would have a problem saying yes to that. You might get drunk and you might decide, hey that was fun, let's see what a real gun can do. I am not saying it is going to happen, but that would be the thinking of the sheriff issuing it. Plus you are in Easton, and that's too close to me.

Young adults doing stupid things, such as assaulting innocent people with an airgun, have been shot, and killed, for less.

Having been the victim of such idiocy several years ago, I can attest that the muzzle of a paintball gun coming out of a car window looks very much like a 12gauge shotgun.

Getting hit with a paintball in the face that's doing more than 300fps can cause severe and permanent damage, and I have absolutely no sympathy for jackasses that get punished for it.
