What's the most vicious gun you ever shoot!

We were talking about .500's in the Pgh Group Shoot thread and it got me thinking...how about a thread about the most vicious guns you have ever shoot?

For me, it has to be my buddy's dad's .308 Magnum Research Lone Eagle! It wasn't overly painful or anything, but the muzzle blast was huge! It kicked dust up off the ground from a standing position and the concussion felt like an artillery round being fired! It as just awesome!

i've got a 45/70 you know when it goes off... but its nothin compared to the 460 wby mag i've shot a few times, buddy of mine has one... i've seen the muzzle blast throw a chrony on a bipod 10ft.. if you leaned into that wrong i could see it breaking yur shoulder

At our gathering we have a guy on our site that designs barrells for Barrett and got to use THEIR range for the day and shoot everything the have.Needless to say that .50 bmg was the most awesomest thing I've ever shot also have to agree 45-70 kicked like a mule.Might also add the new 6.8 was SWEET

shot a .50 bmg once before, and my vote has GOT to go to my turkey gun w/ the 3.5" rem nitro mags. worse than any rifle or pistol ive shot.

5 shots .460 Weatherby Magnum with 500 gr solids. The gun actually twisted from torque. SHooting pins at 30 yards was as blast and the next day teh BACK of my shoulder was sore from being stretched during recoil.

The only gun I'd refuse to shoot from a bench.

For me:

3" Magnum 12 Gauge Slug we found at Cheaperthandirt - fires at 1700 feet per second. Fired those at an indoor pistol range. LOL! People with pistols were flinching and almost on their knees every time we shot. Made a flame about 4 feet long come outta the barrel. The pressure wave was like being slapped in the face by a wet towel. The recoil was...."impressive".

I have shot a lot of magnum and safari magnum rifles as well as the .50 BMG. I notice the recoil with all of them, but my vote has to go to the synthetic stock 3.5" magnums from Mossberg and Remington. Light pump guns with a max load of turkey shot in a 3.5" shell.

It's all I can do to fire 6 rounds to shoot in the red dot scope. They kill at one end and wound at the other!
