eliminate the whole "permit from your own county" thing?
If HB1523 passes, and after someone sues the crap out of the city, I'm sure Philly residents would have an easier time securing a LTCF. I got mine when I lived in Bucks county for four months, so I'm good for a few years. Still, is there any chance that legislation might go up that would eliminate the requirement that I renew my LTCF in Philly? Some way I could get a LTCF from *any* county sheriff in PA? After all, the form is (ostensibly) the same, the background check is (ostensibly) the same, and the fees are (ostensibly) the same. Why shouldn't I be allowed to get my LTCF in Doylestown, where it took longer to drive there than it did to get the little plastic card?
