Just some revolver love
I had these two beauties out at the range today and couldn't resist the opportunity for a picture. Next trip will feature my single action and a Smith & Wesson 19. The two pictured are the Ruger GP 100 and the Smith 686. I want to get a feel for which one of my 357's is the most accurate. I would call today's trip a tie between these two, I'll probably take them out again when I have more time. In the meantime I'm just curious as to popular opinion of which one is deemed better looking. Not asking for which is a better gun just what looks nicer in your opinion.

I like the looks of the Smith myself.

I want to know how anyone shoots them with the original grips.

S&W revolvers have always had the best combination of aesthetics and ruggedness. The 686 is the best of those two but your Model 19 outclasses them all in the looks category, IMO.

Being a GP owner, my vote goes to the Ruger.

Re: Just some revolver love
The wood Smith and Wesson grips took a little getting used to but now that I've been shooting the revolvers more and more they actually fit my hand really well. If it was the rubber grip of the Ruger you're referring to, they have fit me from day one. I've tried aftermarket rubber grips on both and quickly went back to the originals. Most rubber grips have finger grooves....... bripro no like finger grooves. ; )

They are both nice looking guns. I think I will go with the Smith being a little nicer to me, I think it may be the longer barrel. It seems more balanced to my eye.
Some people just plain suck.
