Default Which rifle should I get next?

I have the itch for a new toy and have it narrowed down to 5 choices.

    1. German K98. A classic, I will own one of these, whethers its today or in the future.

    2. Lee Enfield. See above post

    3. Springfield 1903. See #1( I love bolt guns)

    4. M-1 Carbine. I have a deal on a Auto-ord. with several mags, bayonet 400 rds ammo $500.

5 PSL. There seems to be a lot of these around lately. The reliabilty of an AK, The accuracy of an AR, and a big bore round. Cheap ammo.

I like to hear opinions, there free. And if your going to vote other than atleast post what you were thinking and why?

I voted M1, since the deal you detailed sounds pretty nice...

Always wanted a PSL myself, will go there eventually. Had a Mauser in the past... awesome rifles but decently priced ammo was too hard to find locally.
Just because 'perfect' is impossible does not mean we should settle for 'broken'.

I voted M1 Carbine because they are drying up faster than a grandmothers... well we'll leave it at that.

Wow 4 votes for the Carbine. I really didn't expect that.

I voted for the M1 Carbine, mostly because it has a very reasonable price with ammo listed, so it is clearly a good thing. The others may or may not be bargains, we don't know yet.

They want to horn in on that 400 rounds of ammo with the gun.

I voted for the 1903 Springfield. It's an American classic, using 30.06.

If you need to post an internet poll to decide, then you are not ready to buy another rifle, are you?

This was a really stupid comment on my part and I do apologise to 7998.

This is true. Maybe I tainted the vote by listing the price.
The Carbine is from a relative and is in no danger of being sold.

Yes my favorite round, and theres nothing like cycling the bolt on a well built rifle.

Hmmm, lets see, cash in the safe, check, nothing to do tomorrow but go look for my new rifle, check.

I like to hear fellow members opinions, sometimes there is some useful information posted, and sometimes people post irrelevant crap that has nothing useful or informative to offer.

Sometimes a fellow member has what your looking for, for sale and was on the fence until they seen someone with cash looking for it.

Big fan of M1s. It helped win WWII and the Korean War, and I have a lot of relatives who used them in service. I still need to find a nice one, but haven't run across any yet.
