Default Stainless Winchester 1200 Price

I have a chance to pick up a used, but like new, Winchester 1200. It is the stainless model, and comes with a pistol grip and tatical sling. And a Polymer stock with a pistol grip as a switch option. Guy is asking $319 for all of it. Is this a good price or not. I just don't know.

Seems a little high but only by $50-75. If in like new shape and you keep it that way these might be some upside to the value.

Best regards,
chalmitch

I'd like to see pics of this animal if you get it.

I'm a Winchester and Colt guy, and I have NEVER seen a 1200 stainless.

I have seen 1200 Police guns with 18" barrels, smooth bore with rifle sights and wood stocks. These guns had nickel plating.

The receiver on the 1200 was alum alloy, so is the receiver on this gun stainless?

Blue Book shows a listing for Police Stainless and a price around $200. They don't have a listing for the nickel plated gun that I have seen.

I'm a little confused, but I would like to see pics.

All in all the 1200 was a good gun, and this one might be worth more than one would think just for being rare.

I can't find anything on the going price of this shotgun. Can anyone find something.

As for pics. I will take my camera in and take some pics of it.

I'm assuming it is stainless steel. Never thought it would be Aluminum.

Well, what is the concensous. Is $316 to much for this. Or are you all waiting on pics too.

$200 for Police Stainless. Is there a difference in this and the 1200? This is darn near new condition.

Minus the heat shield on top of the barrel, this is what it looks like right now. This is a pic off a website I found. It also has just the pistol grip and a tactical sling included with it. I think I just might have to pick this one up on the grounds that it is kind of hard to find.

Your picture posted is a 1300 Police. It had an alloy receiver and the entire gun was matte nickel finished.

The Police Stainless I mentioned WAS a model 1200. It was just labeled "police" model.

All model 1200 and 1300 Winchester shotguns are SLOWLY gaining in value due to be dropped from the line up.

$300 is not too much to pay for a reliable pump gun. If you want it, get it.

Once we can see exactly what you have, we can put a price on it.

OK guys here are the pics. This is a Winchester 1200 Police 12 Gauge. This is a pic of everything laying on the floor.

I guess it is stainless steel, says so on the barrel. But I believe that is a brushed nickel finish.

The inside of the barrel was solid black. Like it had some kind of a coating or liner in it. Not sure, but it wasn't dirty.

The chamber was nice and clean. The guy at Sporting Goods told me that the gun was technically brand new. He didn't even think the guy had ever fired a shot out of the shotgun.

It has the pistol grip on it at this time.

But it comes with this Polymer stock too. I believe this was purchased afterwards. No biggie. If I get it, I plan on putting a Knox Stock on it anyway.

OK, guys. Tag on the shotgun was asking $399. He told me he will let me have it for $339. Is this a good deal or not? I really don't know. If it is, let me know. I plan on bringing it to the shoot this sunday if it is a decent deal
