Default MOSSY 500

I have a general question. My son purchased a Mossy 500 from a friend who no longer used it, however, the shotgun did not have the plug. Does anyone know what size the plug is (length and diameter). He has checked around and no local stores have one instock but he would like to use it for some small game hunting and without the plug he cannot. He was going to make one from dowel until he can get on.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Walmart used to offer a plastic plug for a couple dollars. Don't know if they still do.

Or go to a gun shop and pull the plug out and measure it. (ask first)

My magazine plug from mine is sitting with the "parts" pile. I can measure it when I get home.

What is the capacity of this 500? 5 Shot model?
