I am looking for a good recoil pad for my Winchester model 1200--12 gauge shotgun. I broke my collor bone and it never healed (non union break) and the recoil really bothers me. Any recommendations? Jay

I prefer the Kick-eez, Remington R3 and Pachmyr Decelerator for hard recoil. I've used them all. If you have to fit it yourself and it's not cut to fit, the Kick-eez is easiest to sand with an orbital....... Otherwise, I like the R3 a lot.
You can also buy a Knoxx recoil reducing stock for max reduction. http://www.knoxxrecoilsolutions.com/...wProd.php?id=7 You can also add weight with mercury recoil reducing caps and weights. Lycanouchthrope

The Brownells site has a large selection and information on sizes.

Check out the Limbsaver brand also...it has a nice thick and "squishy" butt on it.

+1 for the Kick eez, I compared the de-accelerator and a few others ( by putting them on my shoulder, punching the pad into my shoulder and generally just looking like an idiot to my FFL). The Kick eez seemed to work the best for me and my 300 WSM seems like a puppy with it.

Limbsaver offers many pre-fit/cut models for the more popular shotgun stocks, but they also have different over-sizes that you can custom cut and finish to fit to those odd models of stocks.
I enjoy the extra-padding they have....real soft and squishy and does help with felt recoil. Currently have one on a Savage 30 12 gauge pump, big difference.
