Not bad. The problem I would have that it would need to be dusted and stuff. What if you mounted that system inside a cabinet of some sort?

True but I have the same issue now since the 870 is just leaning against the wall in the kitchen. Just really looking for something so that I can hang it behind the pantry door to keep it out of sight but still handy.

I have a really nice one mounted in my closet for my Mossy 500, but I'd bet it would work with any pump.

http://www.hunting-fishing-gear.com/...isplay/66.html

I have plaster walls, so I mounted a couple 2x4's to my wall, then the Loc-Box to the wood. It works out really well for me. I have the key on my keychain (wife has other one), so I unlock it when I hit the sack at night for quicker access, then lock it up when I wake up and put on my handgun. If a robber really wanted it they could certainly pry it off, but for curious little hands it is perfect. I can get you more detailed pics of my set-up if you need them.

EDIT: After reading the description, they don't do it justice. Basically, the action is open and the gun is "hung" by an L-hook into the barrel (hung vertically, barrel up). Then the door is closed and locked, securing the weapon. Additionally, anothe larger L-bracket is screwed in above the box tp secure the barrel, preventing an intruder from being able to torque the barrel and pry it out. I keep the tube full of "00" buck, so when I take it out I actually have to cycle the action 1.5x to load a round (close action, then full jack).

lowes has rubber coated spring loaded hooks that would work. in the garage storage section. the hook lays flat against the wall when nothing is in it and friction keeps items in it. might work and the open side would allow the shotty to be removed easily if needed.

wait a second... this is FAR easier than we are all making it out to be... but a lanyard on the stock end, and hang it on a nail or hook... this will store it in a down position that will keep dust out of the barrel....

You could buy a shotgun/rifle sling and figure out a way to mount it to your door. I'm thinking the little brackets used for mounting behind-the-door ironing boards, if you don't want to screw into your door (at least the sides of it).

Good luck!

^^^^^^
I keep my Moss 500 hidden in plain sight.

20", factory 8 shot, pistol grip, sidesaddle, Blackhawk sling...

Under a hoody...

Under my wife's bathrobe wrap...

This is the hook on the back of the door...
