Default Tactical Shotgun Pics

I have had a Mossberg 500 for home defence for awhile now, however with just the pistol grip handle it's a little hard on the wrists when it is fired. What i'm looking for is some ideas on how to "tac" it out to make it a little more user friendly. What I would like to see is some pictures of your tactial shotguns, and what accessories you have added.

I don't have pics,am currently running an 870 Express with a 20" barrel and a 3 shot mag extension from Choate. It's nice to have 8 shots at your disposal but I discovered I'm not as happy with the length/weight as I thought I'd be. Picked up a Maverick 88 Security 6 shot a week ago and had a BLAST at the range with it.

If you want pics go to AR15.com and click on "arms & tactics", then "shotguns". There's 2 pic threads at the top with about 80 pages of scatterguns to drool over...I mean admire.

Also try shotgunworld.com, click on tactical shotguns, another pic thread at the top and TONS of info about anything for your HD gun.

I always advise people considering a PG shotgun to try it out because it is brutal on your wrists. Plus, it's very difficult to aim without a stock.

I would say if you are looking to upgrade that you consider the Knoxx Spec Ops stock. It reduces recoil to the point where you can shoot slugs all day without being beat up. I have one on my 870 and it works as advertised.

There are a lot of tacticool/mall ninja types on the internet. So decide what features you need and customize your shotgun.

Here are some pictures of my 870 with the Knoxx Spec Ops stock. I don't like how it looks, but I like how it performs. Mesa Tactical makes a nicer looking stock, BUT it does not offer recoil reduction.

I have a Wilson +2 extension on my shotgun as well. If you want more than +2, you will want to go with the choate extesions. I also have Ameriglo NS front sight.

Can't find the link so I'll post these again...

Mossberg Persuader with factory Ghost Ring sights. I added a Choate pistol grip stock, inexpensive Tac-Star light and elastic shell holder.
It does what I ask it to do and it didn't cost an arm and a leg.

I do recommend a pistol grip stock as opposed to just a pistol grip. Gives you more options and is easy to control. Eventually I plan to replace the Choate stock with a Knoxx Spec Ops stock.

This was a birthday presant form my wife, Benelli Nova, 7 round tube and wonderful ghost ring sights.

Eventually I want a similar setup like Aubie's, ETA I bought Aubie's here it is:

...or a Benelli M1 or M2.

Not that I know of, the forearm is quite odd compared to regular shotties. That would be nice though. I don't care for the "clamp ons"

I like the Nova, it is quite sturdy due to it's construction, no wobble of any sorts.

While I'm sure it's tempting, I wouldn't do a clamp on just yet... Personally, I don't trust anything that is connected to the bottom of my gun at one point. Again it's a personal thing, but I see those shotguns and I fear the results of maybe losing my light from the clamp. Wouldn't that be crazy! LOL
