Hey everyone, I know very little about shotguns and the laws regarding them. I will be going to the York gun show in a few weeks, and I know I will be looking at a lot of them. What is the minimum barrel length you can own without a permit. Also, are there any regulations regarding foregrips or pistol grips on a shotgun? Can you have a semi-auto shotgun without a permit?

Just curious though, are you originally from MD, NJ, NY, or IL? lol18"+ inch barrels and 26"+ overall length are required to keep from having to get a $200 tax stamp for a "sawed off shotgun". Full auto's are regulated even more(no post '86 MG's to the public), but have the same $200 stamp. Semi-auto's are as legal as pumps, single shots, double's, drillings and more.
