Default New Shotty...

I picked up a new addition today to add to my small family. Found a Remington 870 Express at Gander Mountain for 299 - 30 (sale) - 50 (made offer) = 219. Then subtracted a 50 gift card I received for Xmas brought it down to 169 + PICS fee and tax. 190 and change out-the-door. Thought it was a good deal. The pic below is not mine, but it looks just like mine. I don't have a pic hosting website.

Have to get a 28" barrel for SKEET. Can't wait to shoot it at the next Group Shoot!!!

Right now, on certain firearms, Gander Mountain lets you make an offer. They can accept or refuse. Never heard a large chain store doing that before???

I own an 870 in 20Gauge and its by far one of the most carefree and reliable shotguns that I own. The only thing I hate about it, is the finish is prone to rust. I'm currently in the process of polishing the receiver and possibly the barrel. Just haven't decided on polishing the barrel or taking it somewhere to get blued.

Do you mean the Matte finish is prone to rust? Oh boy, I guess I have to make sure it stays oiled and dry.

I agree with the sarge. My first firearm was an 870 and it still runs strong. No problems what so ever.

Congrats on the new shotty. That is a great price on a great shotgun.

Nice shotgun & sweet deal... I just commented on the 870 in another thread. I've loved mine. I went with the combo to get the riffled bbl. I haven't used the slug bbl much, but it was a nice perk.

Either way, I think you got a super deal... Enjoy the new shotgun!

Since I couldn't make it to the range yesterday, I am really itching to take this bad boy out and put some through it. I may not be able to make it all the way until the Popsicle Toes Shoot.
