Question Problematic Knoxx SpecOps stocks?

I was discussing shotguns with one of my co-workers yesterday and he expressed interest in obtaining a tactical stock for his 870. I told him to take a look at the Knoxx SpecOps stock as I have heard a lot of people praising the virtues of this stock. I also read a article on it in Guns and Ammo many months ago that was positive

Anyway, in the process of researching this stock he came across a bad review where some guy broke one of the springs inside the stock after using the thing only 5 times. Now he's having reservations about buying one.

Has anyone here with a SpecOps stock had problems with it? Is that bad review likely just a fluke occurance or is it a fairly common problem? What do you guys who have a SpecOps stock think of it?

People worry too much...it's one bad review...do you honestly believe that every person that buys every product will be 100% happy with their purchase? I know people who own high end automobiles that have issues...does that mean BMW sucks because there was one lemon?

I have the SpecOps on an 870 that I recently sold. I never had an issue. nuff said

over 150rds on a Knoxx breachers grip on my Serbu Shorty, and that certainly gives it a bigger beating than a full size shotgun model.

tell your buddy to nut up and buy one.

Knoxx products roxx!! I have the breacher's grip and SpecOps stock for my 870 and they are outstanding. Everything that you see them doing on the Knoxx website, like shooting 3" slugs single handedly, or resting the stock against their stomach, or leaning back against a wall to shoot is all realistic. I've done all of those things myself. Great products, and no problems whatsoever. Listen to what others have already posted on this thread.
