Anyone have any experience with this shop?

They require you to send them a copy of your ID for ammo orders, which I've never seen before.

nothing new about that. almost all the places i deal with required that before the first order.

I've always had excellent service from Midsouth.

I respect them as a company, as their prices have always been consistent, although stock is another issue beyond their control.

As others have said, proof of ID for ammo sales isn't unusual.

I've dealt with Midsouth since the 1980's (their catalog was about 1/8" thick then) and have never had any problems with them. The major catalogs I typically peruse are Brownells, MidSouth, Natchez, MidwayUSA, and Zanders. Some have better prices on certain things that the others have and I have never had any problems with any of them.

I totally concur with Xring and just like him have bought from MSS since the mid 1980s as well.

A lot of dealers want a photocopy of the driver's license to prove the address and name are legit. No big deal really. MSS has followed me through 5 addresses over the years. Each time I moved I just sent them a new photocopy to update things.

i normally order from them over the weekend, and have the stuff by that wednesday.
