Yes, dunks got in trouble for selling guns illegally to gang members and straw purchasers and the guns were being found at a pretty heavy rate in the hands of gang members in NYC. In lieu of prosecution dunks made an agreement to send a copy of every firearm purchase made to mayor bloomberg of nyc. There is no supposed, it is fact. When you purchase a handgun there they make you fill out a secondary "government" form. Ask them what its for, then ask them what its really for when they lie to you.

Dunkelbergers is sort of a rip off. As a thrifty shooter I do not spend too much money there. Thinking back i have personally bought about 4-5 firearms from there since I was about 10 or so.
On occasion there is a good deal there. Most of the time their stuff is a rip off. I do not like the whole Bloomberg thing and the extra form. I drive by the place more than 3 times a week so I stop in on a regular basis and see if they have good deals on anything, 99.8% of the time I waste 10-15 minutes. I do go there for Archery supplies. I could go to Cabelas but I like to support local businesses when i can. Yes their stuff is more expensive than cabelas, but on paltry sub 100$ purchases it is not a big deal. When I have 600$ in my pocket and I am going to get hunting or fishing supplies, I take the trip to Hamburg. As much as they have high prices they are an old time-ish local store and not Wal-mart so I will support them if I can without going broke with their crazy prices. I will never sell a gun to them, I took in my Kimber Pro-carry HD II and they offered me 200$ for it. I can only imagine what they get for those old fudd guns in the crap rack. |

So, being a Pa resident, I buy a gun there, Bloomburg is going to know about it? What does he care about me buying a gun there, or is this just to catch the New Yorkies there?
I was in that store back in August. We were staying at a friend's house in Mt. Pocono and drove to Stroudsburg one afternoon. I saw a type 99 Arisaka that I liked, and the kid behind the counter gave me some jive line that the gun was brought in by the Actor Paul Sorvino. I said really, thanks, I'll have a box of .357...Bye Bye...... |

They are surreptitiously filming me and providing the film and records of my purchases to the mayor of NYC? Thanks. I'll never set foot in there. They could give guns away for all I care.
