Thumbs up Shyda's in Lebanon

I went there on Wednesday to buy a Beretta PX4 in 9MM or a Ruger SR9 9MM. I was unsure of witch one I wanted.
Over all I would give them an A- rating.
They had a LOT to chose from. Good selection of handguns & long guns.
Staff was nice & helpful. (Me personally would of like to seen that little extra something, maybe offer an option about a gun or something.)
Gun price was about 30 bucks less then any place I found near me. It took about 35 min to get there.
Ammo I thought they were a bit high on. I know the prices have been nuts for the last 2 years but I saw a box of .22 LR that I paid 15.50 at Wall-Mart for & they wanted 36.00 $$. (That is really my only complaint.)
I did pay $ 15 for a box of 50 count for plinking so it can go ether way.

They had a great selection though. Lots of gun safes & stuff like that.

Ammo prices are a little high there but overall gun prices are a bit cheaper than the stores around me. Some good finds sometimes available with the consignments.

In the last 6 months i have purchased three pistols and one rifle. Each time it was a good experience. I try to go to the same guy (David) everytime. He answers all my questions and is very patient. The prices were very competitive. They have a 60 day layaway. By the way i bought a Beretta 92fs,2 Beretta Neos, and an AR-15. I also intend to by a Beretta Storm 9mm for carry in the next 3 months.

If you paid $ 15.00 for 50 rounds of 22 LR's I don't think it was plinkin ammo, it must have been high end Match Ammo.

I have had mixed feelings about Shydas, they do have a great selection for sure. Some of the guys you talk to are great, others not so much. I have heard stories from many folks that if you mention things like "I have seen this elsewhere cheaper" that the owner has no problem telling you to stick it where the sun don't shine. Now its his shop I know but.....

Never had a problem with Shyda's. Go there pretty often, usually once a week or so, always need something.

They are quite a haul from me, but whenever I'm out Hersey way, I stop in. Historically they have always had a decent supply and price on powder and primers.

Like most other places, the salesman (guy behind the counter) seems to be who defines the experience. One time I was there looking at guns and I had NO interest in hunting rifles and the guy helping me seemed disinterested in the handguns...luck of the draw with who says "May I help you?"

I just picked up my taurus pt 111 pro from shydas last week. I picked it up for almost $100 cheaper than it was at bass pro shop & gander mountain. I also picked up a hip holster, and abox of american 9mm for $15. Overall i would have to say that they are a pretty good place to deal with. It took me over an hour to decide which gun i wanted, and the guy didn't get to pushy with me either.

They are good, but Glenn's is still better... too bad hes hardly open anymore
