John was nice enough to stick around last Friday until I got in (later than I wanted) to pick up my new SIG 226 Elite!!!!
John I know you wanted to get on the road and I really am sorry for holding you up before your trip. I appreciate the good deals and help you have given me over the years. Thanks! LD PS, if that clean used S&W 625 is still there I am going to call you about it on Friday. Last edited by libertydog; May 10th, 2007 at 07:49 PM. |

I first started going to Seneca about a month ago, I had John look over my '44 Ithaca, when me and the wife started looking for another 3" 1911, I went to see John, ended up putting a Kimber Ultra CDP Series 1 on lay-away, the Kimber was barely used, only one visable flaw, a very small bit of wear on the finish of the rear sight. The price was the best I've seen on a Kimber CDP anywhere.
We picked up the Kimber yesterday and I ended up picking up another 1911 for me, a LNIB Colt 1911 XSE Gov't for under $700. I cover a lot of ground, and shop at a few different places, of every shop I've been to in this half of the state, John has the best prices on guns new or used, and that's before any haggling or deals are struck. Thanks John for hooking me up with two great guns at great prices. Good luck at Perry this weekend. John

jdlv4_0 wifey checking in...
The Kimber was for me... I had to run in and buy it and run back out because I had to work but I want to tell the world (and John) that it is a FABULOUS gun. I bought it Tuesday and have already put well over 150 rounds through it.... Not one single problem. It's quality and condition were fabulous and I know it takes a good gun-shop owner to recognize good guns, buy them and then put them back out on the shelves for their customers (and the price was unbeatable). Thanks for the fabulous gun, John! |

John's shop was a wonderful place- just right for someone like myself, who loves to dig around in boxes for "bargains"....aaargggh! John seems like an A-OK guy- despite how busy he was, he still found the time to chat a bit. My old 2nd home, Def-Con1, has closed....John is getting a new regular visitor. There goes the bank account (but I'm smiling all the way!)
