The used guns in the Gun Library are cleaned and oiled before they are placed on sale. One point to consider: when you transfer a gun from one Cabelas store to another, you do not have to pay the PA transfer fee. You do, however, have to pay for shipping the gun to the Hamburg location, which is less than the transfer fee.

Yeah I bought a few used rifles from there. I bought a model 70 with a scope in 30-06, for 300, a turk mauser for 175, and a really nice enfield for 200. So I'm really hapy with them. Overall their gun and ammo prices are high. everything else is expensive, but you're getting what you pay for. I saw a 250$ raft, my ex gf found it online for 100$ less.

I'm a Cabela's Clubber. I travel a lot for work and all my expenses go on the card. I have gotten (with additional judicious use of special discount cards) $300 of free merchendise each of the last two years.

I like the Hamburg store better than the Wheeling one. It is larger, better set up and seems to be kept up better.

The coupons Cabelas offers are great, too. The last time I purchased from them, I used their $30.00 coupon. Now there is a $20.00 coupon for both in-store or online shopping. Unfortunately, I did not use the $150.00 coupon they recently had because I forgot about it.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I only have one word to say about why I won't go to Cabelas....

POP-GUNS

The damn things drive me nuts!

I get their coupons in the mail and when I can get free shipping or a decent discount I'll buy online, but I'll never step foot in the store again as long as they sell those things.

I like to go there often, just bought a CZ75B Stainless last weekend, 508.00 it was the display priced at 549.00, two sales people didn't know it was stainless, one guy said it's chrome, he asked another senior lady she said chrome, I look at the tag it says CZ75B STAINLESS so I told the guy just look at the lable

he goes in the back to get a new one he comes back with a mat finish totally different look dull grey, so I said no that's mat, he says it's the same it came up under the same number, so I asked for the display, only after I asked for reduction he said $15.00 and would not come down more, filled out the paper work 15 minuts I go pick it up

the cashier says 15% off of display modells, ok he rings me up I walk it to my truck review my reciept and no 15%, another 20 minuts another girl goes in the back forever comes back honors the wrong price he wrote (first she said no) but the manager oked it

another 10 minuts to figure out the credit, done

I go to the other end of the counter two senior fellows, hi do you have any adapters for a Harris bipod to fit my RRA AR15 with a quad rail, UHH em Duh, I say picatinny rails? hemm uh nahh I say where are your bipods heh stare in space I'm about to cry, try down this way, I see another fellow same question, oh let me see , not sure it would be here, no don't think so I walk away to next isle, BOOM there it is says Harris bipod adapter for AR weaver/Picatinny rail uh man

also picked up a Walther P5 last year 480.00 traded my p232 Sig for it
