bad experience with k and c today...
Ok so I read on there facebook page that they had .22 ammo. Well I stopped in to get some, he wanted $6 for 50 rounds. I wasnt going to pay that much and he said at Sportsmans Supply in Butler (Yes I know the store we all hate) that they were selling for $90 a brick and up. I was in there last about feburary where all the .22 ammo was literally not avaible at all (except sportsmans supply). Well they only wanted about $40-50 a brick depending on the brand, etc.. So I called sportsmans supply to see if they were really 90 bucks a brick. They werent according to the lady over the phone. So I hate to use the word "Liar" but I almost have to here. So far the best gun shops I have been to are Grice, Ace, and Czars. I hate calling the guy a liar but thats what it seems to be :/

Re: bad experience with k and c today...
I haven't set foot in K&C Firearms yet, but on FB I saw they were selling a used Gen3 Glock 19 with a couple used magazines and cheap holster for $750 a while back, so I'll probably keep it that way.
The F&S in Cranberry is owned by Dicks, who really showed their true colors after the Sandy Hook tragedy. Im gonna stay outta there too.
Im gonna stick with Grice's, Ace, Bee's, and Czar Firearms locally.Last edited by Lone Wolf; August 15th, 2013 at 11:03 PM.

Re: bad experience with k and c today...
also when they first opened me and my dad went in to see if they could get us a Ruger 77. Well the guy said he would call us the next day regardless if it was avaiable or not. Still waiting on that call. Too bad when he does call I will get to tell him we went else where

Re: bad experience with k and c today...
I think i was in there when you came in. that 22 lr was premium match standard velocity not bulk so I didn't have a problem with the $6 per 50...got two boxes myself for indoor pistol matches. Iirc weren't you the guy in there causing a scene about it? i was in there with my wife and kid looking around at stuff and if you were the irate customer then shame on you for your language...the owner Guy is super nice and will work with you on just about everything..

I don't informally make a lot of posts but this one needed a rebuttal. We found k&c to be nothing but awesome to deal with since they opened.

Re: bad experience with k and c today...
Going to have to say there is something fishy about this.
They are always friendly with me and anyone I come into the store with.
Hell, the gentleman saw me at the Monroeville gun show a few weeks ago, and made it a point to wave me down, just to say hi to a prior customer.
And to say that you prefer Czar's over K&C is just downright loony. Czar's charged me $50+tax for an FFL transfer. K&C charged me $20 or $25... I can't recall, as I ended up buying a few more items there.

Despite being a victim of rural education in PA in the 70's, I was taught to "read the context clues"............The OP seems not to even be familiar with the product being offered for sale at the shop that he was raising a stink about........I concur with Danhr: Every dealing that I have had with these folks has been exemplary thus far. One wonders about such "recent additions" who spew venom at retailers......
