I loved the 1st one (except for the long lines part), and I'll be there for the 2nd one.

To be frank, we were rather ill prepared for the volume of shooters we had last year. We expected perhaps 50 and we got well over 85. This year, we are preparing for a larger volume of shooters. In fact, we are limiting the registration to a fixed number of shooters to deal with the "wait" issues.

It is our hope that we can have smooth flowing evolutions with a minimal amount of waiting.

UPDATE 7/24/09

Fellow Zombie Hunters,

We are planning to open up registration on August 24th. I will post the link to this thread when it's open. Unlike the DPMS event is St. Cloud, we will have a limited number of shooting spots available. The reason for the delay on registration is the overwhelming response from those wanting to provide sponsorship, door and raffle prizes etc. So the delay has allowed us to provide more cool stuff for you!

Chinese Town Sealed Off After Plague Deaths

BEIJING — Officials have sealed off an isolated town of 10,000 people in rural west-central China after an outbreak of pneumonic plague killed two residents, the state-run Xinhua news service reported on Monday.

An official who answered the emergency line at Renmin Hospital in Ziketan, where the outbreak is centered, said that all roads into and out of the area had been closed off, but that residents remained free to move about within the town. The official, who refused to give his name, said it was unclear when the blockade would be lifted. Repeated calls to a plague emergency phone line produced only busy signals.
