Where did you get this information?
Yes, I'm curious too.
The standard "guest fee"(anyone not a PMSC member)is $5.00.
Was there some provision made to allow guests to shoot clays for a reduced rate?

This is either part of the group shoot or it is not.
(I'm guessing it is not, but it "is" at the same time. A tad confusing)

I am all for introducing people to a new type of shooting, but this is precicely the reason I was not in favor of a "skeet" or "long range rifle" shoot at the group shoots. When you break up the shooters into separate areas of the club, it is no longer a "group shoot".

Please note that any member of PAFOA is welcome to attend. Every one will be asked to sign in on the upper range and attend the Prayer meeting

According to this statement. It is to be considered part of the Group Shoot.

If you are not a member of PMSC, you pay the $5 guest fee. There is no differentiation between clay and regular shoot.
The additional fees for shooting clays are to cover birds and use of the club's equipment. They do not cover the guest fee.

Frenchy,

Please edit your post. Please stop posting incorrect information.

Frenchy may be confusing the group shoot trap sessions with the regular PMSC trap practices which are open to the public for only the cost of the rounds they shoot. I agree that for the group shoot the $5 fee should stand for non-PMSC members regardless of which group shoot activity they participate in.

Where did you get this information?
By asking Ron at the last meeting, He is the one who actually said when I said what are the fees for Clay... It is $3.00 per 25 birds, if the members do not shoot on the upper bay, they do not have to pay the $5 fee for that. Mind you, last shoot we all paid $3 per 25 birds even if many shot 2 or 3 and 4 rounds.

The prices are actually posted on the website at http://www.pmsconline.com/facilities...trap_skeet.htm
But i can contact him again and see about clarifying this

I agree that if you are a guest you should have to pay the guest fee no matter which activity you are participating in, you are still there for the group shoot. As far as "seperating" the group shoot that happens with or without the trap shoot, there are people who come in and park their butts at the house and that is where they stay the whole shoot.

The way it was said to me, and the part you omitted to say was....

Please note that any member of PAFOA is welcome to attend. Every one will be asked to sign in on the upper range and attend the Prayer meeting
IF they expect to shoot there any time during the day. A $5.00 fee is charged to non PMSC members who shoot pistol rifle or shotgun on the upper bays.

Koli, you are the second person who said here that I am mis informing people, Perhaps you where there when I was told what to charge?

At any rate, I have asked again and will wait to get the answers from Ron. As far as "seperating" the group. No one is forced to stay on the Clay fields, any more then any one is forced to stay at the house or the Easter Island...

Actually, last shoot every one who came down to the Trap field was signed up and paid up on the main bay because most of them did shoot, the exeption being My self and James, I as a member did not need to pay, and I did see Michele pay for James.

This really shouldn't be this complicated.

It's really this simple:

If you are coming to the group shoot, it costs $5.00 for non PMSC members.
If you are suggesting that people come up for the morning safety speech, then they are there for the group shoot and thus paying $5.00.

If this "Clays" shoot is not a part of the group shoot, then you may charge whatever it is that you and the officials at the club have agreed upon.

RANT on.

I was considering going to shoot #13 to send some lead down range with my Stoner, but when I read that you had to be a club member and not just a guest who paid his money; to be able to shot my own full-auto I decided that if I was to be treated as a second class citizen I would not be going to that shoot.

I was ready to go to shoot #14 to break some clay birds and when through reading the post I got the impression that the clay shooters were going to treated as second class citizens I decided I would not make that shoot.

Four days ago Frenchy makes a post: Clay Days # 2 PAFOA / PMSC Clays with prices times, etc. I figure I will finally get to make a trip to PMSC I meet a few members of this forum and have good time too boot; if I had a great time I figured on joining the PMSC. Now I notice on this thread that Kilo & Empty Mag are stating that the OP Frenchy is posting misinformation and it will be their way or the highway period. I have no problem with paying the $5.00 but do have a problem with the way this is being handled, this IMHO should have been handled like adults with private messages and not aired out over an open forum.

The way this is being taken off and some of the other posts I have read on threads for the shoots makes me wonder if the inmates rather than the doctors running the Asylum. I guess I'll just save my gas money and membership money for some other diversion.

Oracle,
There is some truth to what you posted.
Speaking for myself, I should not have posted here.

In reply to the "their way or the highway" comment, well it's not really that blunt, but I guess that's the way it appeared to you.

There's a group shoot, and now, Frenchy has started a "clay shoot", which is GREAT, but it's caused a small amount of confusion due to the fact that it's being held on the same day.

While I am happy(Really, I AM)that he's getting people interested in the clays, the "bugs" need to be worked out of the event(s), and I will state for the record that I'd prefer to speak to Frenchy and anyone else about this "elsewhere" in order to avoid driving anyone else away, as that is not my intention.

Thanks for pointing this out, I'm glad you did.
