AK vs. AR which do you prefer and why.

This has probably been done to death but i'd like to see how it goes.

The idea here is to see wether the AK or the AR is the Pennsylvanian gun of choice.

Please select your option and if you feel like it explain why you personally prefer your choice.

This isn't meant to be a "which is better" thread, those threads get too damn crazy lol.

I chose the AR15 due to its accuracy and the ability to alter it to specific needs.

They both have their place. It's kinda like asking me to choose one of my children over the other.

But if i had to make a choice it'd be the AR.

AR, easier to operate, takedown, and more ergonomic and accurate. For me anyway.

Love'em both, but I'll go with the AR for better range of accuracy and versatility.

Considering the costs and benefits of the two systems, they are about equal in terms of general usage. That being said, I prefer the AR platform because it is the one I am most trained and familiar with.
