So how long do you guys think these deals will last? Is this a new trend downwards or is this just a temporary thing? I feel ashamed to say that in thirty years of shooting I really haven't followed AKs until recently. Now I'm trying to find out everything I can.

I'm really hoping these prices stay low through early next year. I should be back to work full time later this month and hopefully back on my feet enough financially to buy one around tax time next year.

For those of you that bought these are you planning on making any modifications, or just leaving them as is?

When these are gone, they are gone! This deal will NOT happen again. KVAR ran into a cash crunch and liquidated these rifles at or below cost. Buy now, these deals will not be around again. Other Arsenal dealers are pissed because they are selling them at less than their cost.... I am sure that there are many people buying a lot of them to turn around and resell at a profit down the road. They were selling at 900-1000 3-5 months ago. These rifles are a good buy in the 750-800 dollar price point. I might even buy another in Plum or OD just because... God knows I need another AK like I need a hole in my head.

Bummer. Oh well, easy come, easy go. I've got medical bills that take priority over toys. If the price goes up or well runs dry between now and next year I'll just redirect my focus back to saving up for an RFB.
