Decided against AR-15. What now?

I had money down on an Bushmaster AR-15 but I just couldn't do it. I just can't get past the DI gas system. I just don't want it. What do I do now? I have an AK and I want to get another "sporting rifle with detachable magazine" . I figure a total ban should be in place about 5 minutes after Hilary is in office. If that's the case then waiting for the SCAR will prove to be foolish. The XCR is an option along with the 416. I also really like what the Magpul Masada promises to be but that will probably be an '08 release as well. Any suggestions from the wise people here at PFOA would be greatly appreciated.

I actually meant to type 556 in stead of 416 in my post. I'd consider that rifle if I could get some good feedback on it somewhere. Any 556 forums that you know of?

i shot a sig 556 it was an awesome gun.. that is on my long to get list. M1A is a great gun, not cheap to buy or shoot though.

Is the accuracy equal to a stock AR-15? I'll be doing some serious research on the 556. Anyone know of a good place to buy? Around how much?

i'd say it ran a bit smoother then the average ar-15.. its just an all around good gun, felt great when i was holding it, has a better look than the ar-15/m4 bushmasters and i thought the trigger was a 100% better... i've seen them at big bucks which is right off the I-79 wexford exit, although i dont think i saw any last time i was there i'm sure they could order it.. they are more money, usually like 1300-1600 i think
