Default Marlin Camp 9

I've got a Marlin Camp 9 I purchased a while back. It's in the orginal box with all paperwork. The gentleman I bought it from told me he fired 1 12 round clip to test it. I'm thinking of selling it to finance a new project. Ideas on what would be a fair price.?

Check gunbroker. The camp 9's can sell for low 3's to mid 4's. Depends on the people bidding at that time and condition of your gun.

Depends on how big a rush you are to sell as well.

I looked at a Camp 9 about 6-8 months ago. Guy was asking $300 but would have dropped. The rifle was in decent shape, but by no means pristine.
I like 9mm handguns but I wasn't interested in a 9mm carbine.
Good luck in selling yours...

If your camp 9 has sat for years - be careful that the recoil buffer (plastic pad inside at the back of the reciever) is still good. Many factory buffers turned to dust and the shooter cracked the stock or damaged the bolt/reciever not knowing the buffer was bad. You can look for yellow plastic BB size plastic chunks or powder near the trigger group when you hold or shake the rifle. This is not always the case. Some buffers will break into bigger pieces and not fall out of the trigger group. THe only way to know is to take the reciever off the stock and look at the back inside of the reciever at the recoil buffer.

I concur. Marlin's recoil buffers in the Camp 9 and 45, and Model 60 22rf are well known to have that problem.
