First comment: Great Looking Set Up Howard.

Second comment: Well done, for jumping back in the game after 20 years it looks like you are already settling back into your stride. Its like riding a beautiful blued bicycle.

This thread made me realize how much I neglect my baby. Given your successful return, maybe this was the push I needed to start feeding it regularly again. So either way well done and thanks for helping me rekindle an old flame.

I love the story!! Nice grouping, and I know the feeling about pulling out an old friend and sharing the past accolades!!

Great job and great shooting!!!

Thumbs up Re: Dusted off the old rifle today

I'm a newbie here to the forum but have known Howard a long time. I was with him the day he whacked a whistle pig at 650+ yards. He was main sniper and I was spotting. I say glad to see him back in action and not bad at all for all these years away from it. Brings back a lot of good memories.

I'd say for not shooting in 20 years, that's damn good groups and you still have it. That doesn't look like a Bell & Carlson medalist, and so it's probably a bit flimsy. Part of the stringing could be a bit to that. Either way, if you've whistle pigs at 650, you know for yourself that it's very respectable shooting. Can't wait for you to get back in your groove and get the feel back. Keep it up.

That B&C stock is 23 or 24 years old. I don't think they offered the rigid stocks they offer today. It is a kevlar/fiberglass composite and does have some flex at the end foregrip.

20 years!? I'm impressed!

I know it was a joke, but even so, I don't think you need to apologize for the groups. On the other hand, maybe you ought to apologize to your rifle for keeping her locked up for all that time! Welcome back!
