Thank you for the rebuke aubie...So glad I cracked you up! You are quite right, my first-hand experience is limited to less than five visits to China as part of a trade investigation board of experts in criminal justice, slavery, torture and other humanitarian injustice which occured only as recently as eight years ago...I am sure you are quite right, that things are far different now and what on earth would I know about it...
Additionally, my apologies for masquerading as an expert on Chinese history and culture...you are again most correct, my undergrad a.b. and m.a. from Ivies are limited to international politics and S.E. Asia and NOT China as you most accurately guessed...and certainly my Doctor of Laws and thirty years of travel and experience in S.E. Asia would definitely NOT repair this failing!

The constant and recurring information, which is DOCUMENTED, of the use of slave labor in China by the current and former military companies and spin-offs...and in cases where slave-labor is not occuring, conditions of such a deplorable nature that even DISNEY has traveled to investigate and removed manufacturing projects have reached the main-stream press...

To find this information, aubie, just go to your sports pages and ads for massage parlors...then start turning the pages back the other way and read from left to right on each page.

And your expertise and training, aubie, pray tell? Perhaps you can help me get a clue! -Thanks

There are people being exploited in the United States as well. Do you boycott products made in the US for the same reason? I don't believe there is one country on this entire planet that hasn't done wrong by it's citizens. Do I think it's right that this occurs...of course not, but that is the reality. You act as if China is the only country that has slave labor.

If I was to walk into your home right now, I wouldn't find one product in your entire home that was made in a third world country? You research every product that you purchase to ensure that no slave laborers were used? I find that very difficult to believe, but you are better than the rest of us, so it may be your "truth."

You are trying to compare the United States to the rest of the world. No other nation on Earth has a society such as ours. It's not just about Economics and Religion with these other countries. I am talking about a different culture and mind setting.

I promise that I will think about you each time I am standing in the Walmart checkout line. I will also pray to God each night for buying Chinese made products.

BTW, where do you buy all of the daily goods that you use? I would like to make sure that you aren't being corrupted by any Chinese, Indian or any country ending in "ian" for fear that you would be reduced to us common folks.

Good thing you don't buy gasoline, seeing how some of those OPEC nations use slave labor to produce the fuel.

With all of those degrees, what does it entitle you to...a cookie or two?

In the end, no one wants to be told how to spend our hard earned money. If you choose not to buy products from other countries, that is your choice. Just stop lecturing to the rest of us on how we should live our lives. I'm so not worthy in your Universe.

If you think you have the right not to be offended. I suggest you promptly purchase a toe attachment and a twelve gauge. One time use is all that is necessary.

Does no-one actually read on here? Here is my original comment:

"And keep in mind while Norinco shopping:

NORINCO HAS THE BEST PRICES!!!! HOW DO WE DO IT????

SLAVE LABOR!!!!!!!!!!!! That's right friends...that low priced, hot -shootin baby in your hands was made by some poor soul locked deep in the bowels of a Chinese prison! beaten...starved...tortured...denied human rights...Why wouldn't he work cheap??? (Gee...we need more people brought in here to make our reality the same!)

So remember folks...Norinco not only makes guns with slave labor...we do it all! baby fuirniture...Tv's appliances...just check out your local Waly World for the complete line!!!!"

Can anyone please show me in that comment or subsequent comments where I have indicated or stated or urged that anyone should boycott, avoid, feel bad about, or anything over this issue? I did not.

My comment was to remind those of us who might listen, in our full-bellied, 1.3 acre lawn, 6000 square-foot house with a full commercial fridge, 2 Beemers in the garage, night in front of the big-screen, in a land with a Bill of Rights, "gee, slavery ain't so bad" reality, that there are places on earth, our biggest trading partner being one of them, where conditions of slavery and forced labor DO EXIST....and that these conditions, despite what you might imagine in the pampered Disneyland we live in, are so beyond our capacity to imagine, that we actually forget how a product may have arrived in our hands....

I urge no boycott, because it wouldn't make sense or do any good...this like so many other things in our reality, we have NO CONTROL OVER...any more than the control we have, as you point out, over oil, etc....That, in the end is the job of our elected officials, but, sadly, not their purpose in office!

Quite frankly, I agree with you on all points, except any non-recognition that the conditions do exist and are far from our reality.

THIS DISTANCE FROM OUR REALITY IS EXACTLY WHAT THE ANTI-GUNNERS ARE COMPLETELY HAPPY WITH. CHINA IS A TYRANNY - THIS IS THE TRUTH. AND THE MAIN TRUTH IS THEY HAVE NO RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS. THEY ARE SLAVES.

Their government has the guns as Hillary Clinton and her bunch would like us to be. So look well at those slave-made items and them put your hand back on your weapon and NEVER GIVE IT UP!

Other than that, I hope we are all united and friends in opposition to all gun control - and for that I am honored to be called your friend!

I read a comment yesterday...Do not think of them as illegal aliens, but rather potential democrats....

Thanks Aubie...see my reply above...I never told ANYONE how to do anything, especially how to live your life - OK? You are completely so worthy in my Universe, dude.... I'd be glad to go shooting with you and buy the beer after...We're all on the same side here...

"Can't we all just learn to go shooting together?"

Let's honor our greatest Americans this Memorial Day.
