who is getting the new sig 522 rifle???

He called Sig Rep yesterday and told me today that Sig hasn't sent them out as of yet...and that the end of this month will be when they start. my p220, p245 and 556 work flawlessy but the sig 22 cal pistols are way below standard compared to their regular line up when it comes to function. the 22 cal sig pistols look good but 2-5 malfunctions per mag is completely unacceptable. browning, ruger and SW all make reliable and accurate semi auto 22's so there's no reason sig can't do the same

Took the time and made the call to Sig today. I spoke with customer service rep named Jason. I was told that Sig is shooting for a release date of NOVEMBER ... I asked him what year and he told me 2009. So it looks like a little longer wait ... hope it's worth it.

You are right about that one, if I knew of everyones problems with this pistol before I bought one, I would not have gotten it. My Mosquito is pretty good as far as a rimfire pistol goes. I did get a chance to shoot the recomended Mini Mags. Out of 175 rounds, two FTF's hit high of the chamber, pushing down on the round it fell right in. I thought that the Fiochi was the LR522 ammo. Now I'll save it for the Mosquito. Fiochi is working better so far in my Mosquito (less than 10 rounds out of 3 thousand with Fiochi).

I want one and a M&P15-22. I know I can get the M&P and the Colt now but I really like the looks of the SIG.

I have a deposit at a local dealer, I called to see if there have been any updates about a week ago. He told me the rifle at least shows on his list to order off of but no other info. I hoping the Nov date Sig told me is fact and doesn't get kicked out longer ...

That looks like it uses BDM mags. I hope its the Ceiner style BDM mags so they interchange with my (future) .22 AR upper. To good to be true?

Yes, uses BDM mags exclusively.

I'll get excited when I see one of these in person; the GB pics make it look like its all fiber-poly like the M&P22. Which isn't necessarily bad, just $500+ questionable.
