Default When the snow piles up.

I need a winter project. I just got word my Lower receiver order is a go. Now I need to decide what caliber for it.
24 inch barrel, flat top. I intend to use this for hunting. I will put a scope on it as well as BUIS.
I have a Ar in .223 now i want something a little exotic. The largest I would go is 6.5 Grendel. Can a standard AR receiver handle this caliber or should I go with something smaller. If so what caliber.
