Hey guys, first time poster here. Was wondering where I could pick up a GSG-5 in the Pittsburgh area. If there's a bit of a drive, no big deal. Thanks everyone.

The best thing I've found to do was to find what I wanted on-line, buy it and have it shipped to GRoPA. Todd has been a big help in feeding my addiction thus far.
I haven't seen the rifles or pistols for less that $499 so far though. Hopefully someone else will have a local solution. |

Anybody else have any ideas or suggestions where to get a GSG-5 in Pittsburgh?

Good luck in your quest. The Moon Twp Gander Mtn had one and it sold the same day. Haven't had one since that I know of, but I rarely ever visit their store.
But whew - $4-500.00 for an admittedly kewl .22. Hmm. A few weeks back I was ready to jump on one as an impulse buy, but fortunately none were around or could be found at the Wash Cty show, so I "missed out" on spending the ducats and the urge went away. In reflection, $200 for a 10/22, WASR22, RFA for a CAR-15is acceptable, but GSG5-bux is Browning money for an heriloom-quality hand-down-thru-the-ages keeper. To each his own and good luck in finding one! |

I was looking for one myself. I called my dealer here in the city, and he told me that his two main distributers did not have any left in stock ( on order with no ETA). See I am a man of action, and I don't like to wait.
I went on Gunbroker and just saw that they were selling so quick. I am not crazy about the pistol version. IMO, to really have more fun with it, the rifle version is the way to go. I found one from a reputable seller for a good price ($450 + 20 for shipping), and I bought it. I then found that the accessories were selling just as fast as the guns were, if not faster. So I then bought the retractable stock, optics rail and couple of 22 round mags. I got the accessories already and the gun should be at my FFL by Mon. or Tues. the latest. I always liked a 22 for plinking around. (cheap ammo, light weight and pretty quite for shootin cans and such outdoors). Yeah, the price is a little high for a 22, but it is a cool piece. Chances are you probably won't find place in Pitt that has them in stock, because as fast as they come in, is as fast as the go. Look online, Gunbroker is great. Find a place out of state and pay no sales tax. Good luck..
