You'll need a gas plug wrench for cleaning and to tighten that sucker when it comes loose.
Yes, do use "Garand Grease" and not oil in the correct locations!

You also need to check out the main components of your Garand to see what you truly have.
Who made?
-The receiver
-The trigger Group
-The barrel
-The bolt

Mostly Hi-Res... the pics we get to see are 600x420 pixels... I'd love to see some of the nice hi-res goodness at like 1600x1200... something I can chop down and make a nice background of, while drooling of one day owning a garand - and with the quality of your pics, it's a shame to see them in such a small size.
