Default AR-15 A1 Sight question

Does anyone know if the A1 sights and A2 sights share the same thread size? My guess would be yes but I dont want to buy a new one without checking first.

Thanks guys!

Hey Kaos...
thanks for asking, because I have the same question! I have an A1 sight post, and want to put an A2 front sight post in it...

So from what I can tell the front and rear sights are the same threading unless noted otherwise.

It was the rear sight I was worried about, the ones I have are the same hole diameter and I wanted one with a big hole and a small hole which I've found at various places

I dont like the square front post so I plan to get a rounded one at some point.
