    Default Yugo M70 Underfolder

There seem to be two versions of these: AB1 and AB2. Are these versions like the N-PAP and the O-PAP fixed stock AK's? The AB1 is earlier and 1mm thick, lighter receiver? The AB2 is later and the 1.6mm, heavier receiver?

Are both underfolder versions built from demilled parts or was either built new like the O-PAP? I handled an underfolder today, but didn't know of the two versions at the time, and don't know which it was. Seemed pretty solid but the underfolder was very stiff. Both the button and the pivots. The owner was looking for 675. I thought that was a little high, but maybe not. If the fixed stock O-PAP is 600, that's only 75 more for the underfolder. The trunion was marked Zastava. Classic Firearms has the underfolder AB2 for 799 and Centerfire has them for 749. Anyone have any input on these (underfolders)? Thanks in advance.

You want o-pap, it is factory (not from kit) build with Yugo 1.5mm receiver and barrel.
J&G and Century Arms has them in stock. They originally were imported with single stack mags and were milled out for double stock, the good think they have double stock bolt.
Read this thread it has all the info you are looking for.

Thanks, I've seen that and had another thread here that discussed the o-pap. Pretty much ready to get one. Just wondering about the underfolders as well, since I saw one at 675.

Pretty sure that all the M70 U/F's we can readily find were from parts-guns, whether custom made like the Tabuks or mass-produced like from Century's subcontracters or home-builts from the good old days (of 2 years ago!!)..

That Yugo link really lays it out. Thanks.

Those Tabuk underfolders do look nice. But a little sticker shock!
