Should I install one of the beowulf 50 uppers on my Carbon 15 bushmaster rifle or is it to big of a round for the plastic lower? I am only concerend because the lower is this new carbon 15 plastic type material. I would like to have one of the 50's but may wait and order another complete gun.
Whats everybody think??????? |

Thats kinda what I was thinking also. I was thinking I could build another ar style rifle with the 50 upper on it.

I would call Bushmaster and ask them if their 450 Bushmaster (very similar to ther 50 Beuwolf) can/should be installed on their Carbon 15 lower.
I'm also thinking no. I have a Carbon 15 and love it's ultra light weight (it actually feels like you are holding a toy) but would have concerns mounting it to an upper that has recoil similar to a 12 guage.

I also love the light weight of the carbon 15. I have the eotech on mine and it feels like one of the air soft guns. I think I will call them and see what they say. The only difference I see is the difference in the bullet weight. 200 for the 450 and 300-400 on the beowulf. Should be interesting to see what they say. I will keep everybody posted.
Thanks for the input. Jim, |
