Default .50 Cal Owners

2 Questions:

I am looking for a .50 Cal Rifle and was thinking of the Barrett 82a1. I've heard good things about it. I am on the side of a semi-auto, so that type of rifle would be my first choice.

Also, does anyone know if its legal to own a .50 cal rifle in the state of NJ?

Why is hunting even an issue?

I can't quite decide to commit to an 82A myself at this point. CDNN has a nice package for under $9K with lots of accesories including Swarovski optic. My biggest concern is that they are not the most accurate of 50 BMG guns and for the money, I think they should be .

I also already have an AR-50, so I've got a lot of ammo already, and new stuff is very pricey now.

Plus, I have never been shooting my 50 and said to myself "Damn, I wish I had a semi."

And i can't afford to feed an M2.

I was just trying to make a little funny, being that the poster's name was "NJ Hunter", and he's looking for a .50 cal. I can't think of many animals in NJ that would need a .50 to hunt down. Maybe when the Cloverfield monster makes his way down from NYC haha. "AIM FOR THE EYE!!!"

Google is your friend.....Don't expect PA firearms owners to know NJ firearms laws....all we know is they suck and we don't want anything to do with them.
