Default Kaos' AR Project: Donate(/name a price) a Part

Project gARbage-15

So we were talking in the chat about thinking of doing a "donate a spare part" AR project.
This would be for ANYTHING that someone has laying around that is essential for building an AR.
When next pay drops Im going to order a receiver, from there Im going to go part by part until the guns runs.

Why?
First of all I want to see how well a slop of parts will run. In true lycanthrope wisdom from the last shoot, I think it will run just fine. The only way to do this in my mind is with a mish mash of parts from everywhere.

So If someone who is experienced with building these could help me with a list of parts and we could get this thing rolling! (ive never built one)
Obviously I will have to buy any of the more expensive parts (receiver etc) and if youve got something youd rather not part with for free drop an offer and I will consider it!
No free part rejected, we're going to get this thing working for as cheap as possible and hopefully get a range report in for it.

Any suggestions (or offers to sell) a receiver?

- Kaos

Update: Lycan gave some expert advice on parts and noted i should probably get a new barrel and new bolt to sit inside the carrier, so along with the receiver, those are the new parts set for this build.
I hope to grab some parts from the upcoming show for cheap as well.

Total Donations Made:
XD45 - takendown pin detent

i just built my first ar-15 and i love it. i purchased a superior arms stripped lower from EL GUNS on gunbroker for 94 bucks shipped. then i waited for Rock RIver arms to have a sale and purchased the Car A4 complete upper loaded with a 2 stage trigger 30 round mag 6 pos stock and chrome lined for 612.00 free shipping and something like 20% manf discount. The same kit was selling for around 640. works great and a way to attempt to go about building one. be patient and the deals will come.

So I've decided in true "old parts" fashion Id really like to make this a retro styled build.

I know I'll lose a little accuracy because of not having free float, but..such is life for a gun destined to be cheaper than 400 total (if possible)

Here are the current used items im looking to purchase

bolt
charging handle
triangle handguards
buffer (etc)
3 prong flash hider
A2 buttstock
20rd mags
original sling

let me know if you have any of the above you would like to part with or know someone that has them. (still scouring the arfcom boards for the right stuff at the right price)

Thanks!

I was given another part today!

It's a 1911 style grip with rubber grip panels. Should be great on my AR and I can always upgrade the grips to give the rilfe some more character in the future!

Im focusing on the stock assembly and the barrel now.
