I think the usual standard handguard length is about 7.2 inches for the carbine and the middy handguards come out to 9.5 inches. So....just over two and a quarter inches difference?

I have a mid length RRA with standard mid length handguards and a standard front sight. I just pulled off my handguards and measured it. From the front of the upper to the back of the front sight is 9 1/4 inches.
If the Specter length YHM handguards are only half an inch longer than the mid length, it doesn't look like they'll completely cover your gas block. You may be out of luck. I'm not sure anyone makes a rail longer than the Specter but shorter than a full size, but I could be wrong.

Thanks Lycan, so if they use a midlength barrel with midlength handguards the gasblock won't be hidden under the handguards and I doubt going to the 1/2" longer Specter length handguards would hide it either then. So I guess they would have to use rifle length handguards to conceal the gasblock then? So instead of this which is what I originally ordered:
