Default My AR Build, M4 vs. A2

I'm just getting started and picked up my lower. On delton, I'm looking at a 16" assembly, the M4 vs. the standard A2 uppers.

Is it me, or do you and others get sick when the sight costs just as much as the rifle... This is why I'm just about to order the A2...

Go with an A3 upper with fixed front sight and then get a YHM BUIS for the rear. Decent adjustment and less than $100. Then you can add an optic of some sort when you feel you can aford it.

And good optics often cost more than the rifle they are sitting on until you get into precision rifles or toys with a happy switch.

I know what you mean. I've decided to get the Mid-length gas tube but with the A2 upper. All the other sight options are pricey and not being able to mount optics means I'll get more practice with iron sights and won't have the constant temptation to blow $300 on an Eotech.

Really enjoy my A1 (similar to A2) however, my next one will be an A3 Flat top just for more flexibility! But, I wouldn't hesitate to get the A2, after all...it won't be your last one! LOL

I shot one of those with a C More mounted out front. It handled surprisingly well.
