The NEW Ruger 10/22. Take Down or Take out to the Garbage?
Kind of "cool" if you ask me assuming the reliability goes unaffected.

i like the fact it breaks down like an assasins rifle, not the screw nut and no forearm like the papoose. reliablity should not be a factor because it looks like the same reciever.

I dunno, I would want to hear more about it's durability before I made any sort of decision. I can see, depending on the interface, wear being an issue & slop developing after repeated assembly & disassembly. Neat idea, unsure of the reliability of the execution.

Re: The NEW Ruger 10/22. Take Down or Take out to the Garbage?
I've built a number of 10/22s. It doesn't look to be much different than what you'd do a basic barrel swap. (There are only two screws to move for a barrel/stock change.) My current 10/22 can put 10 shots into a dime at 50 yards so I see no reason this would be any more problematic.
.22s are so inherently accurate that I doubt this will change that much. The only problem is now I've got to spend more money to try out a new 10/22.Last edited by Cyo; March 28th, 2012 at 09:34 PM.

I have been thinking about getting a Ruger 10/22 for a while now and I have been looking at getting a Herny AR-7 for a B.O.B. lately. Well, I guess I know what I'm going to get now.
