Default Saiga Rifles.

I'm interested in buying Saiga 7.62X39 with a 20" barrel. I plan on using it for plinking and my shtf rifle. Does anyone know of a gun store in south western PA that keeps some in stock? Also post em if you got em.

No, but I could show you online where to get one for $250....probably plus fees. And of course the transfer fees.

In my experience the 20" is more of a special order barrel length in the 7.62x39 and the .223 . The 16.3" one would be easier to find. There is a store I know of near Indiana Pa that often has them in stock, if you are willing to drive that far. (PM me if you want to get the address)

Like jh664322 said it might be easier to order one in through a local FFL.

Default Re: Saiga Rifles. AVOID MISSISSIPPI AUTO ARMS!

Whatever you do, avoid these chuckle heads...

Check this Yugo out they have on GB...

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...?Item=90905988 f i x e d

$449.00 and you dont even get 1 mag!

These same folks took heat over at the saiga boards for their rather blunt sales policies.

If you check out their other auctions - they sell Saigas at everyone else prices -- but on some of them they have cherry-picked the magazines from the boxes for profit...

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...?Item=90395523

"You want a mag? Check our other auctions".

Haven't seen such magazine pilfering since the late 80's when the ban hit; Yes Virginia, every CHICOM AK came with 3 mags. But your dealer held back 2 'cause it was profitible to sell them seperately.

nfa you're link doesn't seem to work.

to the OP if you go on gunbroker, stay away from "killemall" out of sparta, nc. the saiga's he is peddling are not 922r compliant (if you buy one that is bone stock w/o "goodies" you would be ok but i prefer not to give any business to somebody that is thumbing their nose at the system and hosing unknowing people)

Default Re: Saiga Rifles.

I had it almost set up to buy one online for $288
most other places are around that price, or around $300. I haven't seen any for $250.

are there better deals? they seem to be going up in price.

I also saw this thread at the saiga forum. I would love a mini-14 adapter, I know there are some US made mags out there but they're expensive. The adapter would make US made mags, of any capacity, so much easier and cheaper.

I bought mine here a few years ago C & D Guns Coins & Antiques 231 E Broad St, Bethlehem, PA 18018 (610) 865-4355. I don't know if they can ship it to you or what... But they are really nice people, and I'm sure they'll work with you. I absolutely love shooting it, even though I only get to 100 yd ranges... It is dead on, right out of the box. I like it so much I don't even shoot ar-15's anymore.
