AR flash hider / muzzle brake ?
I called Del-Ton the other day and was gathering info on there rifle kits. I asked if the flash hiders and muzzle breaks were threaded on or what because i had read some barrels had them pinned on, pressed on, machined on and threaded on so I wanted to know how there barrels came and she said it depends on your local laws. And that it was my job to know what the laws where in my state. Can someone shine some light on this please. I tried to search the forum but did not get any results from my search. Maybe I didn't search for the correct thing IDK.

I asked the same question. Here is the email response from Del-Ton... 末末末末末末, The barrels in our kits are threaded and the flash hider is not permanently attached, so you will be able to change it later if you'd like. Right now we're not offering any discounts....we may do something for the day after Christmas though, so keep an eye out for that. If you had a 12.5" barrel and had a 3.5" flash hider permanently attached, you would be just fine. (forgive me if the numbers are not exact folks)

If you've ever shot an AR at night you'd prefer the flash hider. Since the 223 doesn't kick that much I can do without a muzzle brake.
But hey I bought my AR during the ban and it's got a stupid brake on it.
