I have a friend who won't buy a rifle unless it's old. He likes C&R rifles with historical significance, so he bought an M24/47 Mauser. I asked his opinion of the AR once and he said "it's too new for me."

Maybe this is the ticket to getting him to like the AR? It looks less "new" and a little more rustic.
