Default Single Load Blocks For the Garand?

Anyone here have or used one of these?

Reviews claim they don't guarantee avoiding the possibility of Garand Thumb, if true what other positive purpose do they serve? Are they easily removed?

I use one for shooting match at the local club. They are easily removed when you want to install a full 8rd clip. Only reason I use one is because I can only have one round in the rifle and its easier to load with the block in there.

Whats the need? I dont get it. Put one on the tube, press the follower down with your thumb, catch the op rod with the ridge of your right hand, then let her go into battery. IMHO, those things are about as useless as the two round enblocs. Throw an empty one in there, put a round in the chamber, then snap a round into the enbloc. Push the enbloc down as if you were loading a full one and let the bolt slide over the one in the enbloc. Bam. You are ready to rock. Two shots, PING! Load a full one and finish your 10.

yeap, no real need for it.
insert rd in the chamber.
ride the bolt half way home, then let it fly the rest of the way.
