Default My new AR upper & b/c assembly arrived

Woo hoo..........It just came today. Here are some pics of it on my rifle lower:

Did you notice no "T" handle? Yep....it is side charging. I thought it would be a pretty neat twist.

Damn! That's cool!.

I had considered building an AR upper with no gas system to build a PA legal AR-15 varmint rifle. I abandoned the idea because it would be a pain to eject and reload with the conventional charging handle. That upper would solve that problem I think.

Here is the link. As far as I know they are the only ones making them......hence, they priced accordingly. Although it's not terribly bad prices considering the b/c assembly ($100-$125) come with it.

Fulton Armory makes one (no relation)

there are one or 2 other companies making them but i cant think of there names off hand

I didnt even know ameetec was making them.

Things have changed since the owner was convicted of mail fraud (but thats a long story)

I do like the ameetec looks compared to the Fulton Armory one

There was someone at the i think Aug or Sept group shoot with a 9mm SBR AR side cocker

dont remember his name though
