Default Make a 10/22 look like an M14

I posted over on Rimfire central about this but wanted to post here too.

I have a ruger 10/22 that I have modified internally a little bit. I now want to modify the exterior and was thinking about making it look like an M14.

No one over at Rimfirecentral so far has seen anyone mod their 10/22 to look like an M14. I'm trying to find parts and stuff that will allow me to do this. Doing it cheaply (as in low cost) is priority.

Any suggestions on what I can use?

Unless you can craft the parts yourself, you're not going to find M14 "conversion" kits. I've never seen any around. Also if the folks at Rimfirecentral.com can't help... then I'd say you're out of luck. THey know anything and everything about 10/22's.

Sorry.

Here's a pic of mine.

Here's an M-14 that looks like an M-14. Oh, it does have an automatic selector switch. And yes, I am wearing four ammo pouches.

10/22 mod to look like a M14? Never seen one before but sounds like a worth while project to try. If you can pull it off....WOW!

For stocks, check out Fred's www.fredsm14stocks.com where you can find some cheap real ones that you can try to modify. If you ever do pull it off, let us know.

Here is another pic of what it should look like: http://www.pafoa.org/forum/gun-pictures-24/39-m14.html

Good luck!
