A question for those of you who have been to both places...I'm already a member at BCF&G and I've shot trap there several times, but I have several rifles and handguns that need sighting in/breaking in: rifles, shotguns, and semi-auto handguns. Can I do all this at BCF&G, or are there facilities and features at Wicen's that make it a better place to shoot?...I'd rather avoid spending the money at Wicen's unless I have to...thanks!!

Just curios, what's wrong with them?

Didn't mean to imply anything's wrong with Wicen's...all I've seen in this forum has been positive, but it occurred to me I'm already a member at BCF&G and I wanted to see if there was some big advantage to spending the money at Wicen's instead...so far doesn't sound like there is.

I've been to both ranges, although its been awhile since I've been to bucks county fish and game. I go to Wicens all the time and I have nothing but good things to say about them. All the people that work there are very friendly and its a nice positive environment to be in. They are VERY focused on safety which is comforting. Some ranges let just anyone show up and start shooting without any sort of safety orientation, but at Wicens they make sure you know all the rules and how to properly handle your weapon. I think the price is very reasonable at $15 per day, and you can shoot at all three ranges. And if you leave for a break and come back a few hours later, you don't have to pay again. You can shoot anything with a pistol caliber in the pistol range (25 yard berm) including 22 rifles, m1 carbines, etc. Sometimes we set up clay birds all over the berm and blast away at them with 22 rifles, which is lots of fun!
If your going to shoot trap, check out Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays. Seriously, its an amazing experience. |

Oh, in this case I wouldn't have any second thoughts
