PMSC doesn't sell ammo. Bring what you want to shoot. JHPs are fine if you want to test carry ammo as well. I don't know of any official group buys, but there are enough good people here that it's not hard to find a few people who would go in on an order if you want to do that.

The more obscene the better. We have regular CMP shoots, you can do dynamic shooting in the IPSC bays, and pretty much anything with safety in mind.

I think you mean if you're referred to the club, does that person get 'credit' for doing so? Not really. We're just happy to have good people as members. So, if you can handle being nice, cleaning up after yourself, being safe, etc, PMSC is very welcoming. And drive whatever the hell you want.
the tracers, incendiaries, and etc is a given... dont wanna trash the place

I'm looking to purchase my first pistol. Most of the advice in the pistol section indicates that you should rent several types first to see what you like best. I am also from the northern pittsburgh area - does anyone know of pistol ranges in the area where you can rent different pistols?

As mentioned earlier in the post, check out the Group shoot at PMSC. Second Sunday of each month. Many types of pistols there and most people will let you give their's a try.

PDSST9,

Anthony Arms Indoor Range in West Mifflin has rental guns.

I believe that during the next two months, the range fee is waved for men on Mondays. Ladies have their range fee waved on Tuesdays, Ladies Night.

Give them a call at 412-469-9992 to verify this.

Yes, you do have to use their ammo, I shot there a couple of weeks ago and 9mm ammo was going for approximately $13/50 rds.
